A public celebration with a paper mache Trump’s head as a giant Croissant, yoga, singing, poetry reading, art exhibition and free pizza and croissants and a balloon conversation between Trump and Abraham Lincoln (monument on Des Moines capitol grounds). The event was initiated by members of Art Action Iowa, in conjunction with the Bad and Nasty call for actions, organized by Lenore Metrick-Chen with partners Yvette Hermann and Holly Wist.

About the Organizers
Lenore Metrick-Chen is an Art and Cultural Historian and Curator in the Department of Art & Design at Drake University, and a person who cares about the social and political sphere. She explores visual art’s agency in social change, examining it as a language of communication and memory. Her recent work continues her exploration of the relationship of art and politics through curating and writing articles and books on exclusion and inclusion in public space, including digital space. She is the administrator for the Facebook page Art Action Iowa.
Yvette Hermann is the program director for Art Force Iowa, which offers at-risk youth a supportive environment, centering around art. She advocates passionately for the rights of young people.
Holly Wist is an artist whose work focuses on the social landscape. She also examines strategies of communication and exchange, especially the exchanges between art and feminism.
